Two years ago, the Dancing Filipino Inmates of Thriller fame did a routine to Queen's Radio Ga Ga, and you can watch the video here if you like.
Well, as this MSNBC clip shows, they're back with a Medley of Queen hits:
Here's the whole thing:
WTF? "Mr. Roboto"? Isn't it bad enough for Queen fans to endure the shame that was "Radio Ga Ga" and "Flash"? Do they have to throw in the worst Styx song ever on top of it?
That's not even the Styx hit that was a blatant rip-off of a Queen song ("Bohemian Rhapsody" was mother to "Renegade"), now is it?
Somebody needs to fine tune their Inner Freddie Mercury here. While I'm sure Freddie would have been flattered by the attention to Queen's music, but even he would have to chuckle over the inclusion of a Styx song.
What other bands do you think had songs that sounded like Queen songs? Which do you think is worse "Radio Ga Ga" or "Mr. Roboto"?
Hint: There is no Lady Roboto out there hitting it big these days, is there?

Saw Queen at Wembley many moons ago...There I was in me punky gear surrounded by Mercury clones.
Bloody great it was.
Don't tell anyone, but I cried when he died....watched "The Show Must Go On" over and over.
Grew up through my early teens with Freddy - well not literally obviously.
Just after he died there was a tribute on TV and one bit filmed him at the control desk in the studio as the band disagreed on a particular sound effect - he was clearly very ill then and complained his memory was going.
Suddenly he turned to the rest of the band and said "For fucks sake decide before I forget my name!"
He was a true Rock Star. Only Bowie left now to me from my formative years....
Ta for the memories Freddy
ahh, i still miss freddy..and queen stands along..they need nothing else..
Clearly, Mr. Roboto is way worse. The only thing worse than that would be anything by Huey Lewis.
FLASH! AHHHHHHHH SAVIOR OF THE UNIVERSE!
OK, I shall confess. I like both songs. Neither my favorites, but I will crank them up on the batmobiles stereo.
The video for Radio Ga Ga could've been one of the greatest visual effects videos of all time had it not been for John Deacon's fly-away Loreal do-it-yourself perm kit hair!!! I really wonder if he or any other members of QUEEN look at that video and groan? I do. John Deacon was never meant for long hair or permed Brian May wannabe hair. The short, military cut is his best look. Hopefully, in his retirement, he has retained that hair style.

4D, Now I just wish I knew you and Caz when I was over there living in your neck of the woods! I saw them in 1981 and got to meet Freddie and Brian. I, too, cried when he died, but it was "These Are The Days of Our Lives" that choked me up watching it. So thin and frail.
I love Bowie! I think the lyrics to "Soul Love" are brilliant. Favorite song off "Rise and Fall..."
Jackie Sue, Indeed! And you were right about Lady Gaga. She is interesting and talented. You mentioned her ages ago on another post.
ETW, OMG! I wanted to hold Huey Lewis face in that sink of water with ice cubes in that one video that ran for ever "I Want A New Drug" maybe. "Mr. Roboto," though, to me is right up there with "Kung Fu Fighting" and "The Bertha Butt Boogie" in the worst of the worst songs.
Malach, FLASH! AHHH-AHHHH, HE'LL SAVE EVERY ONE OF US!
Batman, I imagine that he's rocking some serious male pattern baldness because he appeared to be going that way when he went military cut the last time he performed live at the Benefit Concert after Freddie died. Such a shy fellow. I simply yelled a big old Boone County "Hi" to him and his whole face blushed as he waved and ducked into his limo to sweet, sweet silence. I imagine he's enjoying the grandkids and such a lot more than most rock stars would.
